American Defense Council calls for Boycott of film "Sum of All Fears"
Unrealistically removed Arab Terrorists from Clancy’s version

WASHINGTON, DC – It is time to stand up to Hollywood’s promotion of changes to plots to make sure they are as bland as possible, and to promote their vision of a politically correct world, said Dan Perrin, president of The American Defense Council.

"We read that ABC News bleeped Jesus’ name out of its broadcast, so as not to offend, that texts of classic literature are altered for the same reason in college students’ tests, and now the plot of Tom Clancy’s bestseller, "The Sum of All Fears," is changed to remove the Arab terrorists who unleash a nuclear device on an unsuspecting American city," he noted.
"At some point, we must say enough is enough," said Perrin. "It is this Hollywood/media mushy-headed minset (and its relentless promotion of it in films) that contributed to the FBI wringing its hands to the point that legitimate leads about the 9-11 attacks were not followed up due to the fear of being accused of racial profiling."

Perrin urged the American moviegoing public to send Hollywood a message by boycotting the film. "Tell Hollywood that taking Arab terrorists out of a movie plot as the most likely to set off a nuclear weapon in the United States is simply not acceptable. Don’t go! Do not give this movie your money."
