Flip flopper?

He first opposed the creation of the Dept. Of Homeland Security then took credit for it.

He first said he opposed a consitutional amendment banning gay marriage stating that is should be left up to the states, now he is in favor of it.

He first opposed an independent 9/11 committee, then he took credit for creating it.

He first said that his administration would not testify before the above committe, then he agreed that they would appear before it.

Shall I go on?

Changing your stand on issues is considered flip-flopping only when it is your political opponent and you will do ANYTHING to divert attention to your own failures and weaknesses.

Patriot Website Award presented 14 May 2004 to http://groups.yahoo.com/group/SeaPower/.

MISSION The mission of the Sea Power Ambassador program is to educate the American public and elected officials on the need to rebuild the fleet of the U.S. Navy and Coast Guard to meet America's security requirements in the 21st Century.

CRISIS America faces a security crisis. The fleet of the U.S. Navy has dropped from 594 ships in 1987 to 294 ships today. This represents the smallest Navy in our Nation's history since 1917. For 12 years, the Nation has been ordering just six new ships a year, on average. This is the lowest rate of naval ship production since 1932, and if continued, our Navy will shrink to a fleet of 180 ships. While the Navy's fleet is on a dive course, the need for a larger and more capable fleet is more imperative now than at any other time in our history.

RESOURCES This site will provide information resources for Sea Power Ambassadors: information about the maritime fleet, the shipbuilding industry, the contractors, and other items pertaining to the subject. A forum for discussion of Sea Power may be found at http://www.patriotfiles.com/forum/showthread.php?s=&threadid=38585.
